Chili Supper

On Tuesday, January 30th, everyone is invited to a chili supper to help in the needs of those who lost their home in a house fire. The children are attenders at Lakeside and the ladies of the church are preparing this meal to help in the total loss to the family. Come for the fellowship.

Sunday's Activities

It was great to be in church on Sunday. The snow was falling as people gathered to worship and greet each other as a family. Our service was a powerful outpouring of God's Spirit as people gathered around the altar for prayer and praise. The worship lifted our hearts to the lord as we sang praises together.

The evening gathering found us together with churches from cities around us. Nashville pastors and a part of their congregations came to hear the ministry of our State Bishop E. C. McKinley. Chairs were put out for the over flow as well as in the Family Life Center. We appreciate those who came together for the evening's celebration.

Wednesday Night Adult Class News

On Wednesday night the adult class is beginning a series of studies on "TRAINING FOR REIGNING", David's Pathway to Rulership. If you do not have important plans for Wednesdays come and be a part of these studies. We will have text books that you can purchase and study materials for each night's study. We will begin at 7:00 p.m. and conclude each class night in approximately one hour. It's a time you will throughly enjoy.

On Sunday Night

This Sunday evening, January 28th, at 6:00 p.m. churches from districts #9 and 10 will be meeting at the Lakeside church with Dr. E. C. McKinley the State Bishop for Tennessee as our guest speaker. The churches involved will include the greater Nashville area. You are invited to meet and enjoy a night together with other brothers and sisters in the Lord.

Prayer Intercessory Meeting

On Saturday, January 27th, 9:00 a.m. churches from all over Westmoreland are invited to meet at Cathy's Kitchen for a brief meeting to organize and pray together. The meeting is to encourage each other in a 40 day time of prayer to 'Seek God for the City' Our prayers are that pastors will come and bring a prayer intercessor for the meeting. We ask for your prayers also.

Our Church Staff meeting a Success!

Our first staff meeting for 2007 on Monday night was met with very positive input.
Each Department is excited about the things that are happening in their departments . Our plans are to support all ministries from the Children's department through the elderly and Prayer Ministry.
With the support of the entire church we will see great results this year.

Special Prayer Request

Fred Coley is in need of special prayer today. He is very sick in S.R.M.C. with his family near and only God is able to help at this time.

Thoughts for the Day

Laziness travels so slowly that poverty soon overtakes him.

The busy man is seldom lonesome or unhappy.

He who never climbs never falls.

If others sin, you need not mention it (except in prayer).

OUR SUNDAY SERVICE

With the rain coming down on the outside spiritual rain fell on the inside. Is seemed as if there was standing room only as the building filled with both people and a spirit for worship. Prayers went up, worship went up, songs of praise went up and the Holy Spirit came down. A freedom to minister the word was present. From the beginning to the end the freedom of the Spirits was manifested.

Some Prayer Request

Pray for Fred Coley, Katherine and the family. Fred is in need of a miracle as I write tonight.
Tomorrow is a very crucial day and we need your prayers for God to intervene.

Remember Cooper White (newborn) and (proud parents), Daniel and Sherry White. Sherry will be going home on Tuesday but because of complications Cooper will be spending this week in the hospital.

Sister Brenda Holmes is in need of a special touch from the Lord.

Continue to pray for Steve Kennedy who will be going through more tests to determine what procedures are need to correct a neck and back problem.

Sorry About The 'No Communication' On Line

For the past week I have felt awful with a cold and when not visiting the hospital or making house calls or on the phone I have been just laying around. I hope to up to par this week.

It's A New Year (07)

Happy New Year!!! We have survived the Christmas Holidays and it seems that everyone that I meet had a great holiday season. Each of us are so blessed to have family around us, plenty to eat on our tables, good health and interpeace that only comes from knowing the Lord.

It was great to gather on the last Sunday of '06' with membership, friends and families of the Lakeside community for study and worship. With busy schedules it is good to see people give of their time and come together in the Lord's House.

I encourage all who read this blog to make worship a part of their weekly activities. Find a church that you feel at home in and that teaches the Word of God and make a commitment to attend regularly. May God bless.
