CoGoP Pastor's Meeting

On Tuesday evening, July 25th, 13 pastors from Districts 9 and 10 met at Lakeside F.L.C. for a time of fellowship and discussion. The evening was filled with great ideas in church participation of growth and networking realizing that each church plays a vital roll in the body of Christ.
Discussion about the upcoming General Assembly of the Church of God Of Prophecy at the Gaylord Center in Nashville and the business sessions of that week was a high point of the evening.
All pastors present felt that the district meeting of the pastors should be an on going thing and seem to look forward to our next gathering.

V.B.S. at Lakeside

What a week!!!! Kids everywhere!!!!! Everyone enjoying the evenings together as children gather, 100+ children and youth, for classes taught, skits performed, plenty of food and refreshments for all, songs sung and outdoor games. The evening air filled with laughter and workers acting like kids again, what a week. The hot weather seems to be expected as the clock hands bring us together and dismisses us until we gather again.

Our visit with The Hauns

It was a great time in the Lord as we visited the folks in church at Watertown Sunday night. Pastor David Haun made us feel very welcome. The praise and worship lifted our spirits and the drama team was used of the Lord in the service. Pastor Haun preached a wonderful message instructing us that we are the extended hands and feet of the Lord in these last days. The number in attendance for a Sunday night service was outstanding.

Wonderful Sunday Services

We had a great time in the Lord Sunday at Lakeside. The Lord truly blessed in our praise and worship as we sang something old and very uplifting then some newer praise songs that met with an unlifting Spirit. Deliverance time saw many around the altar as God met with us there as we prayed for needs. Following the message again around the altar the Lord answered prayers, some for deliverance and for salvation. We went away with our spirits uplifted in knowing that God had been in the place.

Pay us a visit on Sunday

If you need a lift come be with the Lakeside community on Sunday. You will hear Spirit lead singing from the Praise Team. A time of prayer and deliverance for those who need a special blessing. You will be Spirit fed from God's Word. And I believe you will find "A PLACE YOU CAN CALL HOME" at Lakeside.

Nursing Home Visits

As time permits on Tuesdays at 11:15 The Lakeside pastor, wife and Vicky Hudson pay the residents of Westmoreland Care and Rehab a visit. They sing, read scripture and allow those who would like to make requests for songs to be sung. If you are not too busy and would like to be a part of the gathering in the lunch area come by on Tuesday of any week and we would love to have you visiting as well. The residents would really enjoy having you to stop by.

The Church year at Lakeside always begins on August 1st.

Aug. 21st-27th-Church World-Wide General Assembly at Gaylord Center, Nashville TN.
Sept. 10th-15th-Firehouse Revival 'Reporting for Duty' Lakeside Family Life Center.
Oct.-Fall Family Retreat, Date-T.B.A.
Nov. 21st-Annual Thanksgiving Service.
Dec. 16th-J.O.Y. Banquet
Dec. 17th-Angel Tree & Breakfast
Dec. 20th-Christmas Banquet, Thomas House, Red Boiling Springs
Dec. 22nd & 23rd-Annual Christmas Play
Dec. 24th-Christmas Eve Service

Fall Family Retreat

A Fall Family Retreat to convene in the Smokey Mountains is being planned for October. If there is enough interest and everyone that would like to have family time together will see The Harrisons they will make reservations. Approximately 15 families is need so that the plans can be made.

Lakeside V.B.S.

We begin our Vacation Bible School on Monday night, July 17th and will continue through Friday night 21st. We would love to have your children or grandkids with us. Plans are for a grand time in classes funtime and outdoor games. We will be having plenty of food for all ages. Bring the kids, drop them off and check the time for pickup.
