Revival at Carthage

Faye and I enjoyed a wonderful evening Tuesday with the Pastor and congregation at the Carthage Church of God of Prophecy. They are in revival with Terry Bear as the evangelist.
The Spirit of the Lord filled the entire house as we entered into a time of praise and worship.
Brother Bear preached a wonderful message on Faith. We are asking God to bless all the churches in District # 9.

Our Visit to LaVergne

It was great to be with Pastor Jimmy Jernigan III and the people at the Eastwood church in LaVergne. We were made to feel welcome as the Youth (A.O.F.) performed and the singers sang in worship to God. The freedom of the Spirit was felt as Leon Graves brought the message for the evening. Many thanks for allowing us to minister to the people of Eastwood.

September 17th.

Our service was outstanding as the Holy Spirit filled the house. Everyone was truly blessed as many brought their needs before the Lord. This service follows our Youth revival ("BOOT CAMP") where many area churches participated with drama and dance teams in worship. We appreciate the responce on Sunday and last week in 'FIREHOUSE".

Baptismal Service

On Sunday, September 24th, following the Sunday service we will have a baptizing for those who have been saved and have not yet been baptized. If you would like to participate in this service call the office at 644.3373 (office hrs. 9:00-2:00) or contact pastor so that he will include you.
Come prepared (towel & change of clothing) and ready for God to bless.

Revival News

"FIREHOUSE" just had a week of revival but the Spirit of Revival continues. Churches throughout the city participated in drama and dance. Youth pastors spoke with the annointing of the Spirit upon them. The numbers each night were outstanding as they gathered early for fellowship. Kevin Carver, Youth Pastor preached outstanding meessages each night and allowed the altar to fill with seekers. The Praise and Worship team led by Lashell Spears brought the youth to their feet as they clapped, shouted, jumped and danced for Jesus. Shannon Carver, coordinator for the event led each night in preparation for the following night. A.O.F. (Angels On Fire) led by Patrick Jenkins performed each evening at the beginning of the services. Thank God for youth who want their lives to be examples to others.

Remembering N.G.D. Sunday

Sunday, September 10th, is National Grandparents Day. Invite your family, especially the grandparents to be with you in church Sunday. Go pick them up and host them for the day with a visit to church then lunch at their favorite eatery. This can be a great time to make some memories.

Youth in Church

They came to enjoy the midweek gathering at Lakeside and they did. Over 100 youth came to "Firehouse" and class on Wednesday night. The vans made two trips each to get all riders back home safely. Thanks to the donor of the second van the drivers were able to cut travel time in half. All Wednesday classes were blessed with new faces and a great time of study. To God be all glory.

Pastor's Notes

Week long, wonderful assembly, August 21-27, at the Gaylord in Nashville. People from all around the world gathered for this general conference.

Our weekend, August 27th, was great as we gathered at Lakeside for regular services that was anything but regular. The house filled with people as the Lord of glory came also into our midst. There was singing, shouting and praying as people danced and was slain in the Spirit. People stood and was prayed for, one received Christ another received the Holy Ghost and everyone was blessed.
