On Sunday, January 1st. 2006

Just a note to let everyone know that Sunday services are back to regular time and schedule. You are invited to attend Lakeside with us if you are not already a regular here or elsewhere. We ask that everyone come expecting God to bless the efforts of all.

Death of Bishop Charles Gary

Brother Gary passed away on Tuesday, December 27th, after a long battle with cancer. He will be missed very much since he was our District Presbyter in the Nashville and upper middle Tennessee area. It was my privilege to have a part in the funeral of such a great and well respected man. Our prayers go with Sister Doris Gary in the loss of her companion.

On Christmas Day

On December 25th we will have communion for all those who desire to be in church at Lakeside.
We will set the table and have prayer over the day's activities before the building is opened. The fathers or mothers, if the husband is not Christian, will serve their family as the priest of their home. They will enter the building and find a place of prayer followed with communion. If you attend alone you will also find a place to pray and have communion. The build will be open from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m.

Wednesday Night's Christmas Play

On Wednesday night the Christmas play was presented again with a large number in attendance. The Spirit of CHRISTmas was felt by all. The excitement was just as great if not greater on this night than on Sunday. At the end of the play people came forward as Cindy Emmert and Kevin Carver gave the invitation. There were people healed and two gave their hearts to the Lord. The Holy Spirit was manifested freely in tongues and the Spirit's outpouring.
Thank God for allowing us this second night.

Christmas Play (-AGAIN-)

The Christmas play that was presented on Sunday night will be presented again on Wednesday night, Dec. 21st, at 7:00 p.m. If you were not present on Sunday don't miss Wednesday. It is an outstanding story on the birth and life of Jesus as seen through his mother's eyes. There are times when you will laugh and other times when you will cry but throughout the program you will want to shout the joy of the Lord because of a risen Savior. We appreciate Kevin and Shannon Carver for their vision in writing the production and to the cast for their labor of love together to make the play so wonderful.

Our Church's Christmas Banquet

What a great time together and what a large number of people attending. We met at the Thomas House in Red Boiling Springs on Wednesday night, December 14th, for a great evening together.
The food was outstanding and the atmosphere was very festive.
It was great to see husbands or wives and children with the church family who do not attend our services at church regularly. It appeared that everyone went away in great spirits. Gifts were given and the time was spent well. We wished everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

Sunday's Activities

On Sunday, December 18th, we will have our annual Angel Tree and breakfast in the Family Life Center. Everyone is invited to participate, the tree will be up and decorated, you may bring gifts if you wish. Special families will be with us on this Sunday. All little ones are to receive gifts. If any classes exchange names the gifts can be given during angel tree time.

At 11:oo a.m. we will have praise and worship in the main auditorium. Our little people will have a special time at the beginning of our worship. The morning will be filled with songs about the Christmas season and about the birth of our Lord.

At 7:00 p.m. we will gather in the Family Life Center for our Christmas play. Much time has been put in preparing for the evening's activity. It would be great to have a packed house for this special time. Invite your family and friends to be with you on this evening.

Ladies Night Out

On Friday night, December 16th, all ladies of the church are invited to 'Ladies Night Out'. The happening will be at Edith Graves' house. For full details about the night's activities see Edith Graves or Vicky Hudson.
