More details on Wednesday night at 'Firehouse'

Special Graduate's Day

On Sunday (May 21st) we all gathered for a great time of worship in the Lord. The day's activities included recognization of the seniors from our church family. The video and Bible presentation made us all proud as we watched the youth in formal and informal settings.
The day ended with one young lady being saved.

Great Graduation (W.H.S.)

The parking lots would hold the cars as people filed in to the High School Gym. Shuttle buses carried the people to and from the school. The entire morning was filled with outstanding activities. There were 80+ seniors graduating with at lest 5 of those young people connected to the Lakeside community. I told Mr. Oldham after the graduation how much the day was enjoyed.

Wednesday Night Activities (May 17th)

We had a wonderful Wednesday night at Lakeside. Classrooms were filled with excitement as the classes began. The Adults and young adults made their way to their classes and the 'Firehouse' and 'Sparks' gathered in their rooms. The total attendance was 173 with 102 of those under the age of 21. It's great to see such an interest in church attendance during midweek. Youth Pastor Kevin Carver and all his staff invite anyone who is not already attending a local church to come and be a part of 'Firehouse'.

On Thursday we will again be with the Moores in Clarksville for the funeral of Sister Mary Moore.
On Friday Police Chief Nations invites you to meet at the Gazabo in downtown Westmoreland at 11:00 am for a memorial for all the fallen officers who gave the ultimate price in the state of Tennessee.
On Saturday morning at 9:00 am the graduating class of W.H.S. will cross the stage at the High School. The Lakeside community has five seniors this year graduating. Make plans to be there for this very special day in their lives.

On Sunday at Lakeside (May 7th)

Our day was filled with excitment. We gathered for worship as the Holy Spirit filled the building. The Spirit of dance, shouting and worship were in our midst. A lot of the congregation stood through most of the service, the Praise and Worship, special singing and message time. Sister Carol Harrison's scripture on God dancing over us was powerful. Brother John Ray gave a powerful testimony of God's Saving Grace and how God delivered he and his wife, Suzanne, from the tornado that came through Gallatin. You are invited to come be a part of these powerful Penticostal meetings at Lakeside and become a part of the Lakeside community.

"EXtreme Outreach" great success

It was great to see so many churches gather in the park/walking track area on Saturday, May 6th, for the concert. Youth pastors and youth, and the older generation gathered as one when the music and performance of both the paid performers and youth groups participated. It was great to see the coming together of Christians to worship in the park. An altar call went out and many gathered and prayed as a large number received Christ into their lives. "EXtreme Outreach" was a great success. Watch out for the next date of another gathering.

Concert in the Park

On Saturday, May 6th, beginning at 2:00 pm people will gather for another concert sponsored by EXtreme Outreach. The well known groups are BarlowGirl, Seventh Day Slumber and Krystal Meyers. Tickets may be purchased at the gate on Saturday if you have not already bought a pass to the event. Scott Graves is very excited and is expecting a great turnout on Saturday. Get the family together and come for an afternoon and evening of music. Local talent from local churches will be on stage also.

World Day of Prayer

On Thursday, May 4th, the Family Life Center at Lakeside was transformed into a prayer room for all those who desired to come between the hours of 2:00 - 8:00 p.m. There were stations setup with materials prepared by the Intercessors for this prayer time. Soft music set the tones for a successful time of prayer. Videos played addressing issues that are important to the family,
our youth, and church life. These stations are to be left for display on Sunday for those whe were not able to attend the Thursday prayer time.

Urgent Prayer Request

I spent a portion of today (Tuesday, May 2nd) at St. Thomas with our Gallatin pastor, his wife and his two brothers. Brother Windell Moore's mother Sister Mary Moore is in critical care there and the doctors have told them the next 12 to 24 hours are a critical time for her. Your prayers are very important for her as well as the family. As you pray remember they appreciate your concern very much.
