Thoughts for the Day

Sin wounds the heart of God and the soul of the one who commits it.

Thought is not mature until it has passed into action.

Nothing is easy for the unwilling.

More things are wrought by prayer than this world dreams of.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and you are looking forward to the new year.
We invite you to attend church with us at Lakeside on the very last day of 2006. We will have regular services and hope that all who attend will enjoy the fellowship.

Sunday's Activities

The Morning:
We all had a great time as we gathered for Angel Tree and gift giving on Sunday. The breakfast that the ladies brought was outstanding and all ate to their fill.
The Family Life Center was filled with people, laughter, good food and lots of fellowship.
Santa paid the children a visit and presents were given to every child present.

The breakfast was followed with a great service, songs of Christmas, children performing and God's blessings being poured our as the Holy Spirit paid us a special visit.

The Evening:
We gathered for our annual Christmas Play with every seat filled and happiness filling the building.
The play got underway with again performances from our children then from the adult program. The play was outstanding and God's Spirit was felt throughout the full performance. The play "PARDONED" took us from the birth through great moments in the life of Christ, through the death but also through the resurrection as He cameforth from the tomb.

The altar filled as people gathered to pray and seek the risen Savior. We had people saved,
sanctified and filled with the Holy Ghost. Some were slain in the Spirit as God touched many lives.

The play will be performed on Monday night, 18th, at 7:00. Come early and get a seat as we gather for God's blessings and His visitation.

Today's Thoughts

Jesus went about doing good. But most of us are satisfied with just going about.

The person who lives only for himself runs a very small business.

Some people spell service, "Serve Us".

The only way to keep from making mistakes is to do nothing--and that's the greatest mistake of all.

New Class "BREAKING FREE"

On January 3rd, 07, Sister Carol Harrison begins a series of lessons on "Breaking Free" Making Liberty in Christ a Reality in Life! Each student should purchase a workbook ($16.00) available at LifeWay bookstore in Hendersonville if you plan to attend the class. It will consist of an interactive video study by Beth Moore, led by Carol in class. If you do not already attend a class and would like to be involved sign up by placing your name on the signup sheet on one of the bulletin boards.

December is Here

It's December!!!!! It's Christmas Time!!!! My how time does fly. It seems as though we just unwraped gifts and took down decorations and here we are again planning for festive times, celebrations of the Christ Child. Hopes are that you will have a joyous season celebrating Christmas with family and friends. Someone said, "If you don't have Christmas in your heart, you won't find it under a tree." How true, so remember the real meaning of Christmas and this special Holiday Season.
