Outstanding Sunday

As the house filled (with 206 in attendance) you could feel the anticipation of a great time in the Lord beginning. The songs selected by the Praise Team brought us into the presence of the Lord. People all over the house stood for prayer for their families to be saved and delivered.
The Lord gave such freedom for the preaching of the message. The altar filled and two were saved in the morning service.

Following the Sunday service the Mission Department served a great dinner in the Family Life Center as a fundraiser for missions. The fellowship was great and the food caused everyone to leave with smiles. We appreciate the people at Lakeside and how they love one another, work side by side, and worship as we see growth in the church.

Youth Trip

A large number of 'Firehouse' Youth, some with parents, left in three church vans and as many other vehicles heading for Victory Hills Church to visit Hellhouse, an alternative to hallowene. They first met at Lakeside where a class picnic was held for those who attend 'Jesus Chat Room' on Sunday morning during Sunday School. The excitement was high as they all left for a night of fellowship together. Just pray for the Youth pastor, staff and drivers.

Feed The Children

We see and hear concerns about the needs of all mankind through the world, especially the children.

It may not be possible to meet all the needs but we must try. Lakeside is seeing the needs of a generation of the youth beginning to be met. We are so blessed to have young and old in our Wednesday night classes being fed from God's Word. The buildings are filled with excitement each week as the vans return bring folks into God's House.

Come and be a part and feel the excitement and enjoy the great fellowship as Christians gather to break spiritual bread.

The Practice of Obedience

The Lord has promised His harvest to those who obey His call (see Isaiah 62:8-9).

"I will never again give your grain as food for your enemies; Nor will foreigners drink your new wine, for which you have labored" (NASB).

During the years when Israel had remained silent before the Lord, the enemy had consumed everything for which the Israelites had worked. Their silence was evidence that they had a self-sufficient attitude, having forgotten the Lord's power and provision.

Without God's protection the enemy is allowed to consume us at the point of our need.

The Passing of Sister Carrie Smith

We just received word that Sister Carrie Smith, mother-in-law of Margaret Atkinson, passed away. She was a Spirit filled, elderly lady that we enjoyed having in our attendance here at Lakeside until the family moved to Portland. I am sure that she will be greatly missed by all who knew her. Pray for the family through this time of great loss.

Mission Dinner

On October 29th. following our morning service a dinner is being planned as a fund raiser for our missions department. We invite you to stay for the fellowship and dinner being served. If you have other plans they will have carry-outs so that you can place an order-to-go. If you want to support missions with a donation only the department will greatly appreciate that also. But, stay and enjoy the dinner meal if at all possible. The department makes trips throughout the year with donations (clothes, food, cleaning supplies) to needy areas of our country. You help missions with your giving.

Murfreesboro Vist

It was great to visit with Pastor Verlin Thornton and wife and the people of the Church of God in Murfreesboro. We were able to see long time friends Evangelist Henry and Grace Willis during revival services.
The service was outstanding. We were blessed with annointed praise and worship. Brother Willis preached a great message concerning the Christ Child. The Holy Spirit was with us during the entire service but especially during our time around the altar. We all went away realizing that we had been in the presence of an awsome God.

Revival Continues

Great crowds, great Spirit, great excitment as all gather for a night of worship. The praise team in place brings us into the Lord's presence. His Spirit is evident by the energy of the crowd. Special singing nightly is very uplifting. The message each night by our evangelist, Bishop McKinley an outstanding edition to the service. Come as see.

Tonight, Wednesday, the youth will be performing in drama and dance as we anticipate the
Spirit's moving again in the revival meeting. Come be with us.

Vans Available for Transportation

The third Church Van is now out of the paint shop and is ready to be used in the transportation department. This give us three vans to be used on church service dates to bring those who do not have a ride to church. Great Spiritual Outpouring

Sunday morning found us in the middle of a great pentecostal outpouring. The packed house was filled with exciting worshippers. The praise team brought us the Gospel of Jesus in song. With hands raised and worship flags waving we again entered into the presence of the Lord. It was great to have Bishop E. C. and Sister McKinley as our speakers. We saw the altar filled with seekers and those who were praying for one another.

The evening service was, again a time of refreshing in the presence of the Lord. Brother McKinley preached an outstanding message on the subject of "NOTHING" and caused us to remember that when we come to that point in our lives is the point where God can do great things in us.

We invite you to attend these outstanding services that will continue through Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Bring family and friends and especially those who may need salvation and healing. Let's just gather and see what a 'GREAT GOD' can do.

Revival Continues

On Wednesday night in "FIREHOUSE" Youth service there were 2 saved as seekers gathered around the altar. There were over 60 people in the youth service alone. Continue to pray for the youth at Lakeside.

Remember 'Revival Time' starts Sunday morning, October 8th, with E.C. McKinley, State Overseer. Come and enjoy the services and be a part of revival. We are believing for many souls to find Jesus.

Purpose Of Praise

PURPOSE OF PRAISE

"Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits" (Ps.103:2).

I. It Is Praise to God
"Bless the Lord." The Lord gives life and sustains it. The Lord is worthy of all praise from all the people in all the world.

II. It Is Praise from the Soul
"O my soul." The praise uttered here comes from a full heart. This praise is the voice of the sincere soul. Such praise will lift the soul into the very presence of God.

III. It Is Praise for Benefits
"Forget not all His benefits." Praise the Lord for all He does for us in the physical and the spiritual realms. He preserves life, crowns with lovingkindness, supplies every good thing that life needs, and gives continually the strength we need. How gracious is the Lord! Praise the Lord! Bless His name!

Revival to Begin

On October 8th. through 11th. Dr. E.C. McKinley, State Bishop for Tennessee will be at Lakeside for revival. Services on Sunday will be at 11:00 am and 6:00 pm. On Monday through Wednesday we will meet at 7:00 pm. Each night will be filled with praise and worship and special singing by our local praise team.

Sunday's Activities

We experienced a wonderful Sunday with great outpourings of God's Spirit. The house was filled with people as well and all were so glad they had gathered together. Many new faces were among the crowd. It was great to see people come to the altar as the Spirit led. There were 4 saved, 1 sanctified and 1 received the Holy Ghost.
