Not enough just to pray!!!!

In the wake of what is devastating to our country, prayer must go up from a people that fear God. But, daily prayers are a duty of those who call themselves Christians, it is high time that we both spend time on our faces yet rising to the occasion that God is calling us to active duty. When we ask who is our neighbor we see hurting people, homeless people, hungry people and yes lost multitudes. There are people who have lost everything. There are people lost without God, without hope. AWAKE, AWAKE, to the needs and bring to them food, clothing, maybe just a drink of water, but also bring to them JESUS.
Our focus, without fail is on Texas, Louisiana, and Mississippi but don't forget those on your street and in your neighborhood or even in your own household. "What will it profit any of us if we should gain the whole world and lose his own soul (household)"?
Let us never forget, thinking that we are safe, that in a moment's time everything can or could change for us, effecting things that we hold dear. I pray that as you prepare to be helpful, in one hand reaching to the needy you have secured yourself with the other, making the Christ Jesus, God's only begotten Son your Savior.

Supplies to Hurricane Victims

Just a note to let everyone know, especially those who sent items of all sorts including clothing, diapers, and food supplies about the progress of getting these items sent south. The Truck was loaded on Friday afternoon. It was completely full with all the items to be delivered. We thank all who were so supportive in bringing and packing so that these people can be helped.

Christmas Play Plans

All those who plan to participate in the Christmas activities and be in the play during the holidays must meet with the Carvers on Sunday, October 2nd. at 3:30 pm. There will be a reading through and handing out of scripts as well as assigning of parts of the play. You must be willing to give time for practice and consideration of all involved.

We would love for this Year's Christmas season to be remembered as one of the greatest for us all. This happens if we are all desirous of the same.
