Back from 'Spring Fever'

Everyone made a safe trip back from Pigeon Forge, Smokey Mountains and 'Spring Fever'. We had a busy and crowded weekend as we met for our annual church retreat. We had time together as we ate, talked, ate, shopped, ate, saw a lot of old ventage cars (rod weekend), and ate some more. A big thanks to Larry and Carol Harrison for all the work they do in Family Ministries.

Visiting East Nashville

On Sunday Evening April 23rd, we paid Pastor George McDowell and the folks at the East Nashville Church of God of Prophecy a visit during the evening service. Everyone enjoyed a wonderful service and a great move of the Spirit. The Pastor delivered a great and informative message from the Book of Acts and prayers around the altar were power packed. During the evening service Brother McDowell was set forth as a Bishop in the Church of God of Prophecy. This is the highest licensed position in the church. We congregulate Pastor George McDowell for the work he is doing in the East Nashville area.

There are plans for having fun, fellowship, eating out, eating in and staying up late and getting up early. Whether this all takes place or not the mountains will never be the same after a visit from the Lakeside bunch. When Christians gather it is automatically a goooood time.

Number Receiving Jesus

It is great to see the number receiving Christ into their lives. From the beginning of the year 24 people have been saved, 10 people have been sanctified and 10 people have been baptized in the Holy Ghost. We look forward to seeing many many more lives changed as we continue to experience REVIVAL in all our services here at Lakeside.

'SPARKS' for Jesus

The little people, ages 3 thru 6, have a great time on Wednesdays from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. They are taught from the bible, go to see the puppets perform then have craft time. We feel they are making memories and preparing to be grown up Christians. They will soon graduate from 'SPARKS' to the 'FIREHOUSE'!!!!!

FIREHOUSE at Lakeside

Every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. something outstanding begins happening in the Family Life Center at Lakeside. The Multi-purpose facility is transformed in a place of worship. A portion of youth department meets, approximately 65-70 in number, for worship that has caused some to receive Christ, others are being Spirit filled. They are being witnesses in their schools on their jobs and in the streets of our town. We invite all to come be a part.

Retreat in the Smokies

A large number of the Lakeside community have made plans for our annual retreat 'SPRING FEVER' on April 21-23. Larry and Carol Harrison are in charge of Family Ministries and have planned a great time of fun, fellowship, worship and lots and lots of good eating together. I am sure they all, young and old, will return with sunburns and tall tales of a great trip and time spent together.

Great Day (Easter Sunday)

Lakeside attenders had a great time together as we met for worship with family and friends. The building filled and ran over as chairs were placed to try and accomidate everyone.
The praise and worship team brought everyone to their feet as music filled the building. The youth drama team presented a wonderful program and songs for this special occasion blessed everyone. The message was simply a word from God and it brought seekers to the altar. After the morning service there were egg hunts on campus for kids of all ages.

On Palm Sunday and Easter

We invite you and your family to be with us on two special Sundays. Easter is always a special time for everyone. The Drama team will do a presentation, the praise team will bless us as we worship in song. The Word will bless. We will follow these spiritual activities with an egg hunt for the children. Come and be with us if you do not already have a church home to attend.

Experiencing Christ

It is so great to see the number who are receiving Christ and experiencing the power of God in their lives. On Sunday, April 2nd, we had an unusual service and great altar call.
One was saved, five were sanctified and five received the Baptism in the Holy Ghost. Then on Wednesday night in 'FIREHOUSE' two more received Jesus, two were sanctified and two received the Baptism. Revival continues at LAKESIDE.

Good News (More)

On Family/Friends night we had lots and lots of family and friends to come and be with us on this very special night. We all enjoyed the fellowship and good food, lots of good food. It was very special to see those attend who do not usually attend our church come and make themselves at home. Lakeside is a place you can call home.
